Megatrends and Niches
A) I think mega trend influenceate the market because most companies in every area are trying to fulfill a demand. It’s important to be in touch with the demand needs and not be outdated in a constantly changing market to achieve success in business. When a mega trend starts, it brings awareness and something different to people’s lives. It starts to influentiate not only the products we buy, but also the way we think as well.
I think a mega trend that’s going on right now is the environmental trend. Green is definitely in.
B) A very cute niche is the modern pin up girls. They have a very distinctive style and prefer shopping on vintage stores where they can find things that will go with their style. This group is made of young women, between 17 and 30 years old. They love retro clothing and vintage things of the 40’s and 50’s.
